Comprehensive façade restoration and heritage painting works completed at Argyle Stores, focusing on improving the building’s appearance, durability, and long-term protection.
• Paint Stripping & Surface Preparation: Removal of deteriorated and failing paint coatings to expose stable substrates ready for restoration and new coating systems.
• Façade Cleaning & Biocide Treatment: Low-pressure steam washing and biocide application completed to remove contaminants, biological growth, and prepare surfaces while protecting sensitive heritage materials.
• Render Removal & Restoration: Careful removal of render from 16 windows to reveal original architectural details and allow restoration of the surrounding areas.
• External Painting Works: High-quality exterior coatings applied to selected building elements, including ceiling H-beams, main entry door repairs, parapet areas, and other external surfaces for improved protection and appearance.
Completed in April 2025, this project combined specialist cleaning, restoration, and painting techniques to preserve the historic character of Argyle Stores while delivering a durable, long-lasting finish.
